What I Love About My Boston Terriers

Boston Terriers are known for their affectionate and playful nature. As a proud owner of several, there are many things that I love about my fantastic, furry friends. Here are just a few:

First and foremost, Boston Terriers are incredibly loyal. From the moment we brought each of our Boston Terrier puppies home, each one has been by our side, always eager to please and show us love. Whether I'm feeling happy or sad, our Boston Terriers are each always there to offer comfort and companionship. In fact as I type this, all three of them, Champ, Kalei, and Bentley are running around the office chasing each other and playing tug of war. Earlier they were snuggled up together on their dog bed closet to me under a blanket while I researched blog articles to write about.

In addition to their loyalty, Boston Terriers are also incredibly intelligent. They are quick learners and respond well to training, making them an ideal pet for those who want a dog that is easy to train and eager to please. They each have their own quirks. Champ is food motivated, Kalei is fun motivated, and Bentley is fun and food motivated so we communicate with each one in his or her "canine" love language.

Another thing that I love about my Boston Terriers is their playful natures. They are always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war, and their energy and enthusiasm is contagious! Watching my doggys run around the house or yard with their favorite toys never fails to put a smile on my face! It is truly hard to have a bad day when you have a Boston Terrier. As soon as you sit down they are ready to lick your face and remind you what is great about life.

Of course, one of the most endearing things about Boston Terriers is their unique appearance. With their short, stocky bodies and big, expressive eyes, they are undeniably cute. While they may be small in size, they have big personalities that more than make up for it! When I was researching different dog breeds for our family several years ago I knew I had found the right breed when I read that they were "clowns" lol

Our Bostons are ALWAYS up for an adventure! No matter what we can think of to do they are willing and by our sides. Nature hiking, jogging or walking around the neighborhood, frisbee golfing, swimming, kayaking, boating, riding the lawn mower, dropping kids off at school and then picking them up from school, visiting our family members around the country, relaxing in the backyard, a quick trip to the hardware store.... you get the idea haha. Whatever we are in the mood to do that day, our Bostons are ready to do life with us and that makes us sooooo happy!

Because we have an active and social lifestyle I love that our Boston Terriers are quiet. Nothing is more annoying than trying to talk to someone that has a dog that won't stop barking. Our Bostons can bark but they rarely do unless they are barking at each other when they are playing... or when the doorbell rings but that didn't start until we got Kalei lol. Champ was the quietest puppy ever. Kalei likes to bark at squirrels in our trees in the backyard and her little quiet bark is the cutest thing ever. When Bentley was a puppy she made the cutest sound we have ever heard! How I wish I had it on video!

Finally, I love my Boston Terriers because they have brought so much joy and laughter into mine and my family's lives. Whether they are doing something silly or just snuggling up on the couch with us, they always manage to bring a smile to anyone's face that is lucky enough to be around them!

There are many reasons to love Boston Terriers, from their loyalty and intelligence to their playful nature and adorable appearance. As a proud owner of Boston Terriers, I feel incredibly lucky to have such wonderful companions by my side.
